Watsonville Charter School of the Arts

where the arts inform education

It's Time to Prepare for SBAC State Testing!

Students can practice at home using the CAASPP.org link.  Once on the homepage, students will first choose the box labeled "Training and Practice Tests" and then will select "Student Interface Practice and Training Tests".  From there they choose a grade level and sign in as a guest, pick a test, and finally accept a series of 3 screens before starting their practice test.  We recommend that older students practice with their grade level as well as practicing the grades below them.  The more practice students get with the practice and training tests, the greater the comfort kids will have with the computer and keyboarding skills involved with SBAC testing, the better!

The testing schedule at WCSA is as follows:

4th and 5th grades:  April 13-24            3rd grades: April 27- May 8             6th and 7th grades: May 11-22

Please make sure your child is prepared during their testing weeks by eating healthy breakfasts, coming to school on time, and getting plenty of sleep at night.  We will do our part by making this an anxiety-free experience.  Kids usually like testing because they get extra snacks and recess!  Let's do this together!

Fun at WCSA
